One more cross-cultural wedding that we did this year was for Alice and Mohit. A Punjabi handsome dude, Mohit, fell in love with a cute and pretty Laos girl, Alice and we were so fortunate to be a part of this amazingly beautiful wedding which was in Sheraton Hotel, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
So we drove to NC, a long car journey but we were startled by the amazing welcome we had from this loving family. Sheraton Hotel in Charlotte is one of the most beautiful place which is in uptown with variety of locations for pictures nearby. Though there was some rain drizzle that day, we were lucky to do some amazing pictures with them on their Sangeet day. We were stunned by so many emotional speeches from their friends and family along with a very different Laos traditional dance, which is something even we enjoyed.
The wedding day was very jam packed as there were 2 different but spectacular marriage ceremonies to be done. Our day started early with the Indian Punjabi wedding which included getting ready pictures in the presidential suite, first look which was at Charlotte Convention Center, just 0.5 miles from the hotel, and then an exquisite wedding ceremony.
We quickly moved over for another getting ready pictures for their Laos traditional wedding in which they wore traditional Laos outfits and we could witness a completely different culture and setup for the wedding which included a whiskey bottle, eggs, lot of white threads and decoration with yellow flowers. We feel so blessed to be a part of this culture and to be able to view so much love and laughter around us and capture the candid moments.
They then had the most spectacular reception with crowd surfing, party cannon gun, amazing dance performances by friends and family followed by late night dancing, drinking and of course ending it with an after-party pizza for everyone. All in all, we had so much fun during this wedding that we just didn’t want it to end. Hope you enjoy looking at these spectacular images.
